Plastering

Services

In almost every domestic interior project, plastering plays a vital role. From ceilings and newly formed boxed areas to walls altered during kitchen and bathroom installations, it’s rare for a project to progress without some level of plastering work.

Plastering That Keeps Projects Moving

Because plastering often needs to happen at specific moments within a wider installation, exact timings can sometimes change as a project develops. Unlike many interior contractors, Property Refit Ltd. does not rely on third-party plasterers. Several members of our team are fully competent plasterers, which means there are no delays, no downtime and no disruption while waiting for outside trades to become available.

This integrated approach allows our projects to continue moving efficiently — even when plastering requirements arise unexpectedly following rip-outs or structural alterations.

Planned, Efficient & Experienced

In most cases, plastering is foreseen and carefully planned into the programme of works. For larger or more complex areas, our dedicated plasterer Kenny leads the process.

With over 30 years’ experience, Kenny works quickly and precisely, maximising output during each plastering set. This efficiency frees up the rest of the team to continue with associated works, keeping overall project timescales tight and well managed — something our clients value highly.

Materials are sourced quickly and reliably, either from our preferred supplier MKM Building Supplies or trusted national merchants, allowing us to remain responsive without compromising quality.

Plastering as Part of a Complete Finish

Plastering is rarely the final step. Electrical alterations, pipework changes and wall chasing often require walls to be made good before decorating. Because Property Refit delivers complete interior projects, our clients never need to coordinate additional trades.

We carry out all finishing services associated with plastering — including preparation, skirting installation and decoration — ensuring a seamless result and a consistent standard throughout the property.

Doing It Properly (Not Cutting Corners)

Some contractors plaster walls and tile directly onto them. This is poor practice, particularly with today’s trend for large-format tiles. Plaster must be thoroughly dry — far beyond simply “looking dry” — and even then, it is not suitable for safely supporting the weight of modern tiles.

Where tiling is required, we always install Wedi tile backer boards, providing a stable, waterproof and long-lasting substrate that meets best practice standards and protects the integrity of the installation.

Plastering Within Complete Interior Projects

Our plastering services are typically delivered as part of wider kitchen, bathroom and interior refurbishment projects. However, if you are looking to fully finish an area — including plastering, skirtings and decoration — we can also accommodate this as a complete package.

We carry out work across Bicester, Brackley, Oxford, Banbury, and the surrounding villages of Chipping Norton and Witney.
