A Design Process Built on Experience

Every project begins with a home visit — this is where good design really starts.

During the visit, we take time to understand how you live, how the space is currently used, who uses it, and what you want the finished room or rooms to achieve. We assess the building itself, discussing layout, proportions and practical constraints, while also resolving design challenges you may not have considered.

Because we install what we design, we always balance aesthetics with practicality. Plumbing routes, electrical layouts, ventilation, flooring and wall finishes are all considered from the outset.

Our aim is to make what can feel like an overwhelming process feel clear and manageable. Following the home visit, we translate your requirements to our trusted kitchen and bathroom suppliers, allowing them to produce free CAD visuals that work alongside — and in conjunction with — your kitchen or bathroom installation quotation.

This gives you a clear starting point: a visual design and a realistic installation cost, both provided free of charge.

Developing the Design With Confidence

Once the initial designs are in place, we encourage clients to visit the relevant showrooms and suppliers to refine the details.

This is where you can explore layout adjustments, select tiles, choose kitchen or bathroom furniture finishes, and fine-tune the design until it feels right for you. We remain involved throughout this stage, offering guidance where needed and ensuring the final design remains practical and installable.

This structured approach allows us to offer clear, honest advice from the outset — helping avoid costly design changes later and ensuring the finished space feels cohesive rather than compromised.

Rather than attempting to design everything in isolation, we work closely with a small number of trusted suppliers and design partners who share our standards for quality, service and reliability.

These partnerships allow our clients to benefit from professional CAD visuals, expert product knowledge and proven product ranges, while still having their project fully managed and installed by Property Refit Ltd.
