Kitchen

Renovations

A kitchen is no longer just a functional room — it’s a living space. For many households, it’s where daily life unfolds: where people gather, work, eat, relax and reconnect.

Living Kitchens

Every kitchen installation we carry out is about far more than fitting units; it’s about creating a space you feel proud of and genuinely enjoy living in.

We guide you through the process, so your kitchen feels personal, considered and built around how you use your home. We don’t think in terms of fitting a kitchen. We think in terms of creating a living space that works effortlessly for the people who live in it.

For some, that might mean a Saturday night kitchen disco. For others, it’s helping with homework around the island, or enjoying a quiet, low-lit meal at the end of the day. Whatever your version of living looks like, your kitchen should support it.

Managed From Start to Finish

We understand that a kitchen renovation can feel daunting — particularly in lived-in homes. That’s why we manage the entire process for you.

Ian Martin carries out all initial home visits, taking the time to understand your space, your lifestyle and your priorities. From this information, a free initial kitchen design is produced by one of our trusted suppliers. We actively encourage our customers to work closely with the designer to refine layouts, finishes and functionality until everything feels right.

From that point onwards, Property Refit Ltd coordinates and manages every stage of the project — from planning and scheduling through to installation and final finishing. You won’t need to juggle trades, chase suppliers or manage timelines. We do that for you, helping avoid delays, confusion and unnecessary disruption.

Although we are installation-focused at heart, our aim is always to deliver a complete kitchen solution efficiently, professionally and with minimal impact on your home.

Design Experience That Delivers Better Installations

Our background in kitchen design plays a central role in how we work. With many years’ experience designing kitchens for leading brands, we understand not only how a kitchen should look — but how it needs to function once installed.

Every design decision is made with practical installation in mind. Service routes, structural constraints, access, tolerances and long-term usability are all considered from the outset. Solutions must work just as well behind the scenes as they do visually — that’s essential to us.

The result is a kitchen that looks right on day one and continues to perform for years to come — which is exactly why we work to our principle of ‘Fitted for Life’.

A Complete Kitchen Space — Not Just Furniture

Your kitchen project is never treated as simply a new set of units and worktops.

We consider the entire room: how it flows, how it’s used, and how every element works together. Electrical work, plumbing, lighting, flooring, heating, decoration and finishing touches are all part of the same conversation — and crucially, all carried out by our team.

All electrical and plumbing work is completed in-house, allowing us to coordinate services precisely with your kitchen layout. If atmospheric LED lighting or layered lighting schemes are important to you, Paul can advise directly on how to enhance the look and feel of your new kitchen — often making a dramatic difference.

New flooring is frequently part of a kitchen renovation. We tile floors and walls or install modern finishes such as LVT flooring, and we’re happy to extend flooring seamlessly into adjoining spaces if required.

Additional works — such as hanging internal doors, installing skirting or adjusting finishes — are all taken care of as part of the wider project.

By managing everything as one integrated installation, there’s no compromise between design, practicality and build quality.

Experience With Period & Character Properties

Many of the homes we work in across Bicester, the Cotswolds and West Buckinghamshire are period or character properties — often with generous room sizes and architectural features that require careful consideration.

Uneven walls, exposed beams, alcoves and irregular structures are common in older homes, and they’re challenges we’re well accustomed to working with. Rather than forcing standard solutions, we adapt designs and installations to suit the building — ensuring the finished kitchen feels natural within the space, not imposed upon it.

This experience gives our customers confidence that even complex or awkward rooms can be transformed successfully, without shortcuts or compromises.

Lighting, Finishes & Personal Detail

A well-designed kitchen is defined by its details.

We create layered lighting schemes that balance practicality with atmosphere, transforming how the space feels throughout the day and into the evening. Decoration is handled with the same care — whether that’s incorporating current wallpaper trends, subtle textures or painting your kitchen in a colour that reflects your personality, from understated tones to something far more individual.

Every finish is considered as part of the whole, ensuring the final space feels intentional, balanced and personal to you.

Trusted Design Partners

To help you visualise your new kitchen from the outset, we work closely with trusted suppliers such as Howdens and Benchmarx Joinery.

These partnerships allow us to offer a free initial kitchen design, which is then developed alongside our own kitchen installation and full room solution quotation. This collaborative approach ensures the design, specification and installation are fully aligned from the very beginning — reducing risk and delivering better results.
